Description
Traveling over the River Meuse in Dinant, Belgium one can easily see the Collegiate Church and the Citadel high on a rock formation behind the church. Dinant sits in a steep sided valley between the rock face and the river, the original settlement had little space to grow away from the river, and it therefore grew, into a long thin town on a north-south axis along the river shore. The saxophone is to honor one of the historic residents of Dinant, the inventor of the saxophone, Adolph Sax.
