The door knocker on the north door to Durham Cathedral allowed individuals to gain sanctuary from law enforcement during medieval times. Priests would open the door for the person knocking and then close the door literally in the face of the law enforcement officers pursuing the individual. The criminal then had thirty seven days to confess his crimes and retain passage to another country, therefore, allowing them to escape their punishment of death.

I have not added any new work in over two years due to an automobile accident on 12/31/16. I am still recovering from my injuries and have not picked up my camera for the entire two years. I truly hope that my recovery is complete in the near future. Travel and photography allows me to share the beauty of the world God has created. We have so much to be thankful for and just looking around us gives us a reason to praise God for his beauty. Also, I look at photography as a means of helping others with their future.
